Buy It Or Not: May 7th

Here is our new segment on the films released each week, we will let you know our opinion on which films release on DVD is worth buying or not. Here is the new released for May 7th 2013.

Finding Nemo 3d

We all know the loveable fish adventure from Pixar, one that involves a strict father a forgetful friend and a fish with a gimpy fin. Most people love Finding Nemo that is why they bought it in 2003 when it came out. How many people even own a 3d TV and 3d blu ray player to play this 30 dollar copy of the film that barely enhances anything. If you want this film buy the blu ray copy for 20 dollars, because I doubt many people have the electronics required.

Verdict: Pass for the cheaper version

Mama

Another Pg-13 horror film that is exactly what you expect it to do. Just cause it has presented by Guillermo del Toro doesn't mean he had much say in the film and it shows. If you like horror films I feel there is far better options in the Rated R category. Pg-13 movies usually fail to impress and for me this was no different.

Verdict: Pass

Jack Reacher

This is an interesting one because the film itself wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I would dare to say its a solid action film that has some enjoyable set pieces. There is better action films out there but this one is pretty good. It's at times funny and the action is very cool when it really gets going. If you have the money I would say go for it, but it's not a buy instantly kind of film. Id recommend renting it and seeing if you like it then purchasing it if you do.

Verdict: Rent first then decide

Safe Haven

If you are like Suzanne you would probably want to buy this film. As for guys there is nothing here of value for you. Suzanne keeps telling me, "say to buy it"  but as for my own recommendation I can't do that. It is your typical Nicholas Sparks film that has worse ones but doesn't match it's best one (The Notebook). I recommend that girls who love romances films should absolutely buy it.

Verdict: Buy it if you like sappy romances
