Though nothing may match John Williams infamous theme from Superman: The Movie, Hans Zimmer was graced with a chance to score the newest Superman film Man of Steel. Zimmer of course known for is scores on The Dark Knight films and Inception, is an established composer and does a ton of work each year. When tackling such a job there is a couple ways you can go about it. He understands that the William's score is timeless and he shouldn't replicate or tweak any of his work. Hence why this theme is completely new and one that I really enjoy.

The theme is fantastic in my opinion, its majestic and strong like Superman himself. The slow build is tantalizing and leads to an overall rousing and beautiful conclusion. This may be one of Zimmer's best work and If the music any indication of what the film will be like, we are in for a good one, With still much more to the soundtrack yet to hear it will be interesting to see how the rest of the score goes. I assume it will follow most of the same suit with maybe subtle changes throughout. I am not by any means an expert on score but I know a good one when I hear it.
